The Gaia method.

Part of working with the Goddess is re-learning women-centered crafts which women have created since time began. I am learning how to spin and weave and this totally connects me to all the women who have gone before me. It is also extremely en-riching and I feel very connected to the earth when I spin from a fleece which has 'grown' locally. Its a beautiful feeling of completion and is completely soul-satisfying. I have done many crafts over the years and this is the first time I have felt so 'full'. I have been a knitter since I was six years old so now I can knit what I have spun.
As I go on I will put photos in the photo gallery of the stuff that I create. Then you can see how things improve over time!!
I also want to make a tapestry loom so that I can learn how to create the wonderful images I see in my mind's eye when I am doing earthwork. It is a constant frustration to me that I cannot recreate these images so I will allow my creativity to flow into the wool.
